الإجهاد أحد الأعراض الشائعة. ويشعر به الجميع تقريبًا أثناء المرض قصير الأجل. ولحسن الحظ، يختفي الإجهاد عادةً عندما يزول المرض.

لكن في بعض الأحيان، لا يختفي الإجهاد. ولا يتحسن مع الراحة. وقد لا يُعرف سبب ذلك.

يقلل الإجهاد من الطاقة، والقدرة على القيام بالأمور الحياتية، وعلى التركيز. ويؤثر الإجهاد المستمر على جودة الحياة والحالة الذهنية.
