التعرق الليلي هو نوبات متكررة من التعرق الشديد خلال النوم، لدرجة أنه يبلل ملابس النوم أو غطاء السرير. ويرجع السبب عادةً إلى وجود حالة مرضية كامنة.

في بعض الأحيان، قد تستيقظ بعد التعرق الشديد، وخاصةً إذا كنت مغطى بأغطية كثيرة أو كانت الغرفة دافئة للغاية. وعلى الرغم من عدم الارتياح الذي تشعر به وقتها، فإن هذه النوبات غالبًا لا تكون نوبات تعرق ليلي ولا تدل على الإصابة بأي حالة طبية أو مرضية كامنة.

إذ يحدث التعرق الليلي عادةً مع أعراض مقلقة أخرى، مثل الحمى أو فقدان الوزن أو الشعور بالألم في منطقة معينة أو السعال أو الإسهال.
