تفرز العينان المصابتان بالدُماع السوائل بشكل مستمر أو بشكل زائد عن الحد.

وقد يزول الدُماع من تلقاء ذاته لكن ذلك يعتمد على أسباب الإصابة. ويُمكن أن تفيد تدابير الرعاية الذاتية المنزلية في علاج الدُماع خاصةً إِذا كان سببها الإصابة بالالتهاب أو بجفاف العينين.
