Philippe Armand, M.D., Ph.D., is a hematologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he provides care for people with lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). He also serves as the Enterprise Deputy Director for Clinical Research at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chair of the Enterprise-wide Lymphoid Malignancies Disease Group. Dr. Armand is internationally recognized for advancing patient care through clinical excellence and leadership in lymphoma research, with a focus on immunotherapy and precision oncology.

Research and leadership

Dr. Armand has led several practice-changing clinical trials in lymphoma that have transformed standards of care, particularly in immunotherapy. Previously, Dr. Armand served as Chief of the Division of Lymphoma at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and held the Harold and Virginia Lash/David Lash Chair in Lymphoma Research. He was also a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School before joining Mayo Clinic in 2026.

He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, completed an internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
