He worked in the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI until 2026, and served as the Harold and Virginia Lash/David Lash Chair in Lymphoma Research, and the Chief of the Division of Lymphoma. He was a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. In May 2026 he joined Mayo Clinic Rochester, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Lymphoid Malignances Disease Group and the Enterprise Deputy Director for Clinical Research. He has an active clinic where he treats patients with lymphoma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
