سحب البريدنيزون: لماذا أحتاج إلى تقليل الجرعة ببطء؟

إذا توقفت فجأة عن أخذ البريدنيزون أو خفضت جرعته بسرعة كبيرة، فقد تشعر بأعراض الامتناع التي تشمل ما يلي:

  • الإرهاق الشديد
  • الضعف
  • آلام الجسم
  • ألم المفاصل
  • الغثيان
  • فقدان الشهية
  • الدوار
  • التهيُّج وتقلُّب المزاج

بالإضافة إلى أعراض الامتناع، فإن عدم تخفيف جرعات البريدنيزون بشكل سليم ربما يُفاقم الأعراض التي تُعالج منها. وإذا كنت تأخذ البريدنيزون لعلاج حالة مَرَضية طويلة الأجل مثل التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي أو مرض الأمعاء الالتهابي، فقد يؤدي عدم تخفيف جرعته بشكل سليم إلى انتكاس الأعراض.

يشبه البريدنيزون الكورتيزول، وهو هرمون يتم إنتاجه طبيعيًا من الغدد الكظرية. إذا تناولت البريدنيزون لأكثر من بضعة أسابيع، فإن الغدد الكظرية لديك تقوم بتقليل إنتاج الكورتيزول. ولكن التقليل التدريجي لجرعات البريدنيزون يمنح الوقت للغدد الكظرية كي تواصل أداء وظيفتها على النحو المعتاد.

يعتمد الوقت الذي يستغرقه تخفيف جرعات البريدنيزون بالتدريج على طبيعة المرض الذي يُعالَج، والجرعة، ومدة الاستخدام، واعتبارات طبية أخرى. وقد يستغرق التعافي التام من أسبوع إلى عدة أشهر. فاتصل بالطبيب إذا شعرت بأعراض الامتناع عن تعاطي البريدنيزون أثناء تخفيف جرعة الدواء.
