Advanced neurosurgical treatment

Our neurosurgeons offer neurosurgical clinics and services in cutting-edge facilities that include intraoperative MRI suites and systems to monitor how your brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves and other nerves are doing during surgery. This technique is called intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, also called IONM. They are experts in other advanced methods such as microsurgery, radiosurgery and awake brain surgery. Mayo Clinic is one of only a few medical centers in the country to offer awake brain surgery. This approach is used to remove complex tumors safely in a way that lowers the risk to speech and other vital functions.
