Dr. Igor E. Konstantinov is Professor of Surgery at Mayo College of Medicine and Science and Cardiovascular Surgeon at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to joining the department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Konstantinov was Professor of the University of Melbourne and Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia since 2008. He was also Director of Melbourne's Center for Cardiovascular Genomics and Regenerative Medicine.
In 2021, Dr. Konstantinov received the Medal of The Order of Australia from the Govenor General of Australia for outstanding academic contribution to cardiothoracic surgery.
Dr. Konstantinov speaks Russian in addition to English.
