压力是对生活种种要求的一种正常心理和生理反应。适度的压力可能对身心健康有益,激励您做好事情。但是,堵车、赶工、付账等许多日常挑战,都可能咄咄逼人,难以应对。
大脑与生俱来设有一个保护性的“警报系统”。当大脑感知到威胁时,它会向身体发出信号,瞬间释放大量荷尔蒙,这会导致心率加快、血压升高。这种“战斗或逃跑”的反应给您加油,应对威胁。
一旦威胁消失,身体就会恢复到正常、放松的状态。不幸的是,现代生活的复杂问题无休无止,要求和期望层出不穷,这令一些人的“警报系统”很少有机会彻底关闭。
压力管理为您提供了一系列工具,来重置并重新调整您的“警报系统”。它可能有助于身心的适应能力(恢复力)。如果没有压力管理,您的身体可能总是处于高度戒备状态。久而久之,长期压力可能导致严重的健康问题。
