Does Tai Chi Easy (TCEasy), a simple and repetitive form of exercise that consists of movements with meditation, improve quality of life in those afflicted with multiple myeloma undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation?

This phase II trial studies how well FASN inhibitor TVB-2640, paclitaxel, and trastuzumab work in treating patients with HER2 positive breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. FASN inhibitor TVB-2640 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and trastuzumab, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving FASN inhibitor TVB-2640, paclitaxel, and trastuzumab may work better in treating patients with HER2 positive breast cancer.
The purpose of this study is to compare conventional assessment of systolic ventricular function on a 2D heart echo with an assessment of more immediate changes in heart mechanics using 2D and 3D measurements of deformation and strain in patients undergoing infusion of Trastuzumab for breast cancer.
RATIONALE: Collecting and storing samples of tissue from patients with cancer to test in the laboratory may help the study of cancer in the future.

The purpose of this study is:
Define a set of differentially regulated secreted proteins in human cancer cells across all stages of cancer progression
- Identify a set of 32 genes (including housekeeping genes) that encode for secreted proteins that correlate with disease progression using a bioinformatics approach
- Design probe sets for RT-PCR and run a pilot study both on FFPE and fresh tissue
- If the pilot is successful, expand the data set to an n of 100. Include SCCs of various differentiation and anatomical location. Include SCCs from transplant patients.
Correlate the results of the RT-PCR panel to the biological behavior of the tumor
- The following variables will be examined:
- Ability to metastasize
- Response to therapy
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability, and determine the maximum tolerated dose of INCB062079 in subjects with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and other malignancies.
This is a study to investigate the efficacy and safety of PDR001 in patients with advanced or metastatic, well-differentiated, non-functional neuroendocrine tumors of pancreatic, gastrointestinal (GI), or thoracic origin or poorly-differentiated gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma (GEP-NEC) that have progressed on prior treatment.
To prospectively collect blood and tumor tissue from esophageal cancer patients to identify specific esophageal cancer mutations that can be measured in the blood (cell free DNA) during the course of treatment as a marker of response and recurrence.
