Ryan J. Law, D.O., is a consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he cares for people throughout the region and from all around
the world. Dr. Law specializes in advanced endoscopy and brings expertise in diagnosing and managing complex conditions of the pancreas, bile ducts and gastrointestinal tract. His clinical approach integrates innovative endoscopic procedures with compassionate, team-based care, offering people hope and improved quality of life when facing challenging digestive disorders.
Dr. Law is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and education aimed at advancing therapeutic
endoscopy. He has received multiple honors recognizing his contributions to patient care, teaching, and endoscopic innovation.
Dr. Law is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His academic work focuses on device development, endoscopic innovation, and strategies to improve safety and
outcomes in therapeutic endoscopy. He is actively involved in clinical trials evaluating new technologies for pancreaticobiliary disorders. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on advanced endoscopic procedures and has served on committees for national and international societies, including the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Law is a sought-after
educator and lecturer who regularly leads advanced endoscopy training courses and workshops worldwide.

Dr. Law provides specialized care using minimally invasive techniques and advanced endoscopic procedures to help people with complex digestive conditions. His expertise includes:
- Biliary and pancreatic disorders: Management of bile duct stones, bile duct strictures and related complications.
- Gallbladder and pancreatic conditions: Treatment for cholecystitis, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer.
- Therapeutic endoscopy: ERCP for biliary and pancreatic disease, including interventions in altered anatomy.
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS): Diagnostic and therapeutic EUS for evaluation and treatment of pancreaticobiliary disease.
- Endoscopic mucosal resection: Removal of large or complex polyps and lesions.
- Third-space endoscopy: Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) for achalasia and other motility disorders.
- Upper and lower endoscopy: Including colonoscopy and advanced therapeutic procedures for complex gastrointestinal conditions.
