Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus, is 10 blocks west of downtown Rochester. Rich with history, Saint Marys began in 1889 as a joint project between the Sisters of Saint Francis and the Mayo brothers and their father. It has grown over the years and now has 1,265-beds and 70 operating rooms. It is one of two Mayo Clinic hospitals in Rochester.

• Cardiac treatment, including heart and lung transplant and robotic heart surgery
• Emergency Department, a Level 1 Trauma Center, including Mayo One, Minnesota's first air ambulance service
• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital, including neonatal intensive care
• Mayo Psychiatry and Psychology Treatment Center
• Neurosurgery, including computer-assisted brain surgery and Gamma Knife treatment
• Rehabilitation unit specializing in care of stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury and a Pain Rehabilitation Center to treat patients who have chronic pain
• Research laboratories
