Spiritual and religious services
Spiritual Care
During the clinic’s response to COVID-19, chaplains continue to be available at Mayo Clinic hospitals in Rochester, Minnesota. In-person worship services at the chapels at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus, and Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus, are not being held due to COVID-19.

The goal of Spiritual Care at Mayo Clinic is to engage the spiritual dimensions of people — their beliefs, faiths, cultures, values and religious practices for healing, well-being and growth. We believe that faith, values and spiritual practices are vital resources for healing and well-being.
Mayo Clinic and its hospital campuses offer the services of a chaplain for patients and visitors. Chaplains are available:
- To listen and offer spiritual and emotional support
- To accompany those in crisis or grief
- To share prayer and sacraments and to lead worship
- To reflect and consult on ethical concerns and decisions
