Bryan Barrus, M.D., is a cardiothoracic surgeon with a specialty interest in adult cardiac surgery including mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. Dr. Barrus treats a wide range of heart conditions and works with multidisciplinary teams to address complex issues.
Dr. Barrus attended medical school at Penn State University. He obtained training in orthopedic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Rochester. He has clinical and research interests in surgical therapy innovations to treat heart failure and improve recovery after heart surgery.
