Zach W. Washburn, M.D.

Zachary White Washburn, M.D., is a senior associate consultant in the Division of Emergency and Hospital Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Washburn is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with a clinical focus in emergency and hospital-based imaging. He brings a wealth of experience from a broad academic and community-based background, including prior leadership roles across multiple institutions.

Dr. Washburn completed his undergraduate education at Luther College, followed by medical training at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He went on to complete his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Michigan, where he served as co-chief resident. His professional journey includes key appointments at health systems across the Midwest and Mountain West, including time as chair of radiology and director of imaging services in Iowa and Montana.

A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Washburn has delivered numerous teaching sessions, multidisciplinary case conferences, and CME presentations throughout his career.
