Philip N. Okafor M.D., MPH, is a gastroenterologist and health services researcher. His research interests lie at the intersection of gastroenterology, population sciences, and public health, with overarching aims that focus on identifying drivers of high/low-value care; identification and mitigation of health care disparities in access, outcomes, and resource utilization among patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He is also interested in outcomes among vulnerable populations and patients with limited English proficiency.
