Samuel Han, M.D., is a gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, caring for people in the region and from all around the world. Dr. Han specializes in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of complex pancreatic and biliary disorders, with a focus on improving quality of life for individuals facing acute and chronic conditions. Science. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, he completed his medical degree, residency, and chief residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by fellowship and advanced fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Colorado.
His academic work focuses on improving endoscopic techniques, optimizing outcomes for patients with chronic pancreatitis, and advancing education in therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Han has
authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is active in multiple professional societies, including the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, where he holds leadership roles.
