Biographical summary
Dr. Guerrero is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with special interest in structural heart interventions, particularly non-surgical heart valve repair and replacement. Her clinical expertise includes percutaneous coronary artery revascularization and percutaneous treatment of structural heart disease. Her main research interest is the development of transcatheter mitral valve replacement for patients with severe mitral annular calcification. She is the principal investigator of national and international multicenter clinical studies in the field of transcatheter mitral valve replacement. She is the sponsor and national principal investigator of the MITRAL Trial (Mitral Implantation of Transcatheter Valves), a physician-initiated FDA-approved multicenter clinical trial.
