Research

Mayo Clinic doctors are conducting clinical trials of new therapies for IBS-related constipation and diarrhea. Researchers in the Clinical Enteric Neuroscience Translational and Epidemiological Research (C.E.N.T.E.R.) Program are studying the underlying mechanics of the digestive system, to improve diagnosis of digestive tract disorders including IBS. Mayo Clinic researchers also study IBS in the Gut Microbiome Laboratory.
