Siri A. Urquhart, M.D., is an assistant professor of medicine and gastroenterologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, caring for people from across the nation and around the
world. Dr. Urquhart specializes in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as microscopic colitis and complex gastrointestinal disorders. She is dedicated to helping patients improve their health and quality of life through evidence-based care tailored to individual needs.
"My goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care that combines the latest scientific evidence with a deep understanding of each patient's unique experience. Dr. Urquhart completed medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, followed by internal medicine residency, gastroenterology fellowship, and advanced fellowship training in inflammatory bowel disease at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Her research focuses on non-conventional dysplasia, intestinal inflammation, and clinical advancements in inflammatory bowel disease. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on topics related to gastrointestinal disorders.
Personal note
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Urquhart enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, and outdoor activities including hiking and fishing.
