Biographical summary
Dr. Andree Koop is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has a specialty interest in and actively performs research in esophageal diseases.
Dr. Koop is originally from Naples, Florida and completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He then completed medical school at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2015 and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Florida in 2018, where he was selected as a chief resident. He completed fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic Florida in 2022. Following his training, he completed additional study and training in esophageal disease at Northwestern University in Chicago and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has a focus on esophageal motility testing, including the functional lumen imaging probe (FLIP).
