Kyle R. Duchman, M.D.

Kyle R. Duchman, M.D., is a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon. Dr. Duchman completed medical school and Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Iowa prior to completing further Sports Medicine subspecialty training at Duke University. His training and early career included team physician responsibilities for collegiate football, basketball, soccer, and track & field athletes.

Dr. Duchman has a particular interest in treating athletic injuries of the knee, foot & ankle, and shoulder. His expertise includes treatment of complex knee ligament and cartilage injury as well as malalignment. Dr. Duchman’s treatment of foot & ankle injuries includes ankle arthroscopy, ligament and tendon repair, and fracture fixation. Additionally, his expertise extends to treatment of a variety of shoulder injuries, including shoulder instability, rotator cuff and biceps tendon pathology. Dr. Duchman’s expertise includes treatment of both pediatric and adult patients with a particular focus on safe and efficient return to activity after surgical treatment.
