Research

Mayo Clinic doctors and researchers are actively studying and refining proton therapy techniques. They conduct clinical trials to improve treatment outcomes and understand the benefits of proton therapy for various cancers.

Cancer research is conducted in coordination with Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center receives funding from the National Cancer Institute and is designated as a comprehensive cancer center.
