Rheumatologic conditions can affect multiple parts of the body. So to ensure your child receives the best care, Mayo Clinic pediatric rheumatologists collaborate with virtually all other specialists in Mayo Clinic Children's Center, including the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic, Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Infectious Disease, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Nephrology divisions.
Pediatric rheumatologists provide individualized outpatient consultations at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and inpatient consultations at the St. Marys campus. The staff is tailored to meet the needs of your child and includes specially trained doctors, dedicated and experienced nursing and allied staff, and expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound for joint aspiration and injections. Children who receive care at Mayo Clinic can receive infusion therapies at the Pediatric Infusion Treatment Center at the St. Marys campus.
To ensure children have access to the latest possible, most effective treatments, Mayo Clinic Children's Center and Mayo Clinic Eugenio Litta Children's Hospitals are member sites of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA), participating in the CARRA registry and CARRA clinical trials.
