Reese Imhof, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Imhof earned his medical degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine followed by residency in Dermatology at Mayo Clinic. He has a strong interest in mentorship and medical education, including curriculum development and teaching. During dermatology residency, Dr. Imhof received the Attitude, Commitment, and Excellence (ACE) Award for two consecutive years.

Dr. Imhof partners with patients to help navigate challenging dermatologic conditions with clarity. His clinical interests include:

  • Autoimmune bullous conditions, such as bullous pemphigoid, mucous membrane pemphigoid, and pemphigus vulgaris.
  • Scarring alopecia, including lichen planopilaris, frontal fibrosing alopecia, and folliculitis decalvans.
  • Non-scarring alopecia
  • Lichen planus and lichenoid dermatoses

Dr. Imhof's research focuses on advancing care for complex dermatologic conditions, including autoimmune blistering disorders, scarring and non-scarring hair loss, and lichen planus. He is an active member of the ImmunobulloUS Consortium, reflecting his dedication to research and innovation in autoimmune blistering disorders.

Outside of work, Dr. Imhof enjoys spending time with his family and three young children. He enjoys the outdoors, biking, staying active, and exploring classic and new release films.
