Jason Young, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and a consultant in the Division of Nuclear Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He specializes in molecular imaging and nuclear medicine, with particular expertise in PET/CT imaging of cancer and complex hematologic disorders, including lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, and rare histiocytic diseases such as Erdheim-Chester disease and Rosai-Dorfman disease.

Dr. Young has a particular interest in theranostics, an approach that combines advanced imaging with targeted radionuclide therapy. He performs and interprets studies related to treatments such as lutetium-177 DOTATATE, lutetium-177 PSMA, radium-223, and iodine-131. His research interests include PET/CT imaging, artificial intelligence in radiology, quantitative imaging of lymphoma, and molecularly targeted therapies.

Dr. Young completed his medical education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in radiology at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix and fellowship training in Nuclear Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his family including two young children. He enjoys the outdoors, particularly camping, hiking, running, biking, and swimming.
