Navin Gupta, M.D., is an American physician-scientist and faculty member in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Gupta specializes in the treatment of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and other forms of genetic kidney disease, as well as acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, kidney stones, and electrolyte abnormalities. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Prior to joining the faculty at Mayo Clinic in 2023, he spent 8 years at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and affiliated major teaching hospitals, ultimately serving as an Associate Physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and a faculty member at HMS. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, of the internal medicine and chief medical residency at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center (Boston, MA), and the Harvard combined Nephrology fellowship.

Dr. Gupta leads a basic science research program using kidney tissue derived from human stem cells, termed kidney organoids. Kidney organoids permit experimentation in human kidney tissue-in-a-dish, enabling translational research in disease modeling, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine. His research has garnered awards from the Brigham Research Institute of Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard Stem Cell Research Institute (HSCI). His research has been supported by the National Institute of Health and HSCI.
