Prasanth Balasubramanian, M.B.B.S., M.D.

Prasanth Balasubramanian, M.D., is a Transplant Pulmonologist in the Division of Lung Failure and Transplantation, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. His clinical and research focuses on lung transplantation, outcomes research, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Dr. Balasubramanian completed his training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, with a specialized focus on lung transplantation. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at national and international conferences, including the American Thoracic Society (ATS), CHEST and the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation (ISHLT). He has been actively involved in global health initiatives, including establishing a telehealth consortium to support care delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic in India and organizing bedside point-of-care ultrasound training at his alma mater. He is a recipient of the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, and the Burgher Endowed Fellowship Award in recognition of his clinical performance, scholarly activities, and humanitarian features.
