Sara Carlson is a certified diabetes educator in the Department of Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.
Sara graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Sara worked for two years at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before coming to Mayo Clinic in 1990. Sara has nursing experience in cardiology, trauma-surgical intensive care, heart and lung transplant, primary care and diabetes education.
