Work at a desk? An adjustable desk chair with a lumbar support is a must for comfort. Place a footrest or even a few books under your feet so your knees and hips are level. Don't have built-in lumbar support? Try rolling up a soft towel and placing it at the small of your back. Another tip to reduce joint pain is to place your monitor in front of you — never to the side. The top 25% of the screen should be at your eye level. If a computer mouse leaves your wrists and arms achy, try a track pad instead. And don't forget to take a break every now and then to flex your joints. Moving keeps your joints loose and limber.
