Psoriasis can cause stress, and stress can worsen psoriasis symptoms. Research suggests that managing stress can help improve how your skin looks. To reduce stress:

  • Exercise regularly.
  • Get plenty of sleep.
  • Try relaxation techniques, such as meditation.

A daily meditation practice can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance. Sit comfortably; breathe deeply and slowly. Focus on an object, chant a word or phrase, or think about your breathing. Relax your mind and accept your thoughts freely.
