Psoriasis can cause stress and stress can worsen psoriasis symptoms. Research suggests that managing stress can help improve the appearance of your skin. To reduce stress:

  • Exercise regularly
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Try relaxation techniques, such as meditation

For a quick fix, find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and breathe deeply and slowly. Focus on an object, chant a word or phrase, or think about your breathing. Relax your mind and accept your thoughts freely. Practice for about 15 minutes a day.
