Research

Mayo Clinic doctors and scientists continue to make progress in improving the diagnosis and treatment of Ewing sarcoma.

Cancer research is conducted in coordination with the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center. The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center receives funding from the National Cancer Institute and is designated as a comprehensive cancer center — recognition for an institution's scientific excellence and multispecialty resources focused on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

In addition, Mayo Clinic is a member of the Children's Oncology Group, a national group of institutions dedicated to children's cancer research, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. This enables Mayo Clinic to provide advanced diagnosis and treatment methods based on the latest research.
