Peter J. Schoettler, M.D.

Peter John Schoettler, M.D., is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, providing expert care for children with cancer and blood disorders. Dr. Schoettler has a particular clinical focus on rare tumors, renal tumors and conditions associated with DICER1 syndrome. He partners closely with families to deliver individualized treatment using advanced therapies and a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring comprehensive care for each child.

Dr. Schoettler also serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and Program Director for the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship. He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.

Outside of his clinical role, Dr. Schoettler enjoys woodworking, playing fantasy football and spending time with his family and their dog, Waffles.
