Rochester, Minn.
The purpose of this study is to determine if SUGAR simulated training is effective in preparing individuals for the emotional, cultural and medical difficulties often encountered during participation in global health experiences (GHE). More specifically, we will be comparing the responses and effectiveness between participants of various specialty backgrounds and at various stages of training.
Rochester, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn.
The purpose of this study is to collect data about patients with chest wall and spinal deformities to develop a multicenter registry. This will speed the pace of medical advancement and treatment recommendations for these conditions.
The purpose of this study is to derive and characterize patient-specific disease models for sudden death-predisposing heritable channelopathies and cardiomyopathies using iPS-cell technology. It is hoped that the molecular, cellular, and electrophysiological phenotypes of these in-vitro disease models will further elucidate the pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying these sudden death-associated conditions.
Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.
The purpose of this study is to develop the curriculum and assess its feasibility and impact on equipping young adults to better manage these aspects of survivorship: follow up medical care, work/school life, relationships and coping with the emotional impact of cancer survivorship.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, tolerability, and PK of INCB000928 over a 24-week treatment period followed by a 52-week, open-label extension period.
The purpose of this study is to develop an evidenced-based guideline for pediatric opioid prescribing guideline from the emergency department for long bone fractures to more closely tailor pain management to abuse potential.
The purpose of this study is to characterize the risk of scoliosis progression based on local three-dimensional vertebral and pelvic measurements present on initial evaluation. The proposed new study aims at refining and testing the external validity of this model in a larger cohort. The next step towards using the new model in the clinical setting is to redesign the model and to externally validate the model by measuring the agreement between the new method and the traditional Cobb angle at maturity in a larger multicenter study. The ultimate goal of this research project will be to validate this new predictive model and finally transfer this new predictive tool in the hands of clinicians treating AIS.
The aim of this study is to create a patient and patient-advocate catalyzed tumor bank for the retrieval, processing, analysis, and maintenance of pre-treatment, post-treatment and (when available) post-mortem soft tissue sarcoma (STS) tissue and tissue data with an emphasis on STSs occurring in younger patients (YP-STS). This resource-platform will be named Project BTTRFLY (Benevolent Tumor Tissue Repository Fighting for the Legacy of our Young).
The purpose of this study is to determine whether accelerated BEP chemotherapy is more effective than standard BEP chemotherapy in males with intermediate and poor-risk metastatic germ cell tumours.
The goal of this study is to determine whether significant differences exist in the prevalence of associated cardiac anomalies between right/left and right / non-coronary cusp fusion in bicuspid aortic valve.
