Patricia Garcia, Psy.D., L.P.

Patricia Garcia, Psy.D., ABPP-CN, L.P., is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist in the Division of Neurocognitive Disorders within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic. Her broad clinical training encompassed neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injury, stroke, neuro-oncology, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions. Her clinical practice focuses on adults with acquired and neurodegenerative conditions, with particular expertise in multilingual, non-English speaking, and culturally diverse populations. Her work emphasizes the influence of language, literacy, education, and sociocultural factors on neuropsychological assessment and interpretation.

Dr. Garcia's research focuses on neuropsychological measurement, cognitive and functional outcomes, and biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias across diverse populations. Her scholarly interests also include community-engaged research, culturally responsive assessment, and the application of Agile Science methods to improve programmatic and clinical processes, and the inclusion, recruitment, and retention of historically understudied populations in aging and brain-injury research.
