Stephen A. Johnson, M.D., is a neurologist at Mayo Clinic specializing in neuromuscular disorders and EMG. Dr. Johnson's clinical focus is neuromuscular disease: myopathy (eg dermatomyositis), neuromuscular junction disorders (eg myasthenia gravis), peripheral neuropathy (eg Guillan-Barre syndrome), and motor neuron disease (eg ALS). He has a particular interest in ALS and leads the Mayo Clinic Arizona multidisciplinary ALS clinic. His research interests include ALS clinical trials and identification and validation of novel biomarkers to improve the lives of people living with ALS.
