Biographical summary
Emmanuel M. Gabriel, M.D., Ph.D., is a surgical oncologist who specializes in breast cancer, melanoma, sarcoma, and regional therapies. His clinical focus includes:
- Using a multidisciplinary approach to the care of the cancer patient
- Expertise in complex surgical oncology procedures including cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal therapy (CRS-HIPEC) and isolated limb perfusion/infusion
- Performing cancer surgery using minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery
- Utilizing oncoplastic techniques for breast cancer patients
- Designing clinical trials in immunotherapy and cancer imaging
- Investigating disparities in access to cancer care and outcomes
In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Gabriel performs translational research in cancer immunology. He has authored several cancer related publications and serves as a reviewer for several cancer journals.
