Biographical summary
Saurabh Zanwar, M.B.B.S., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He completed his residency in internal medicine, followed by fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology, and an advanced fellowship in dysproteinemic disorders at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.
Dr. Zanwar's clinical and translational research focuses on multiple myeloma, Waldenström Macroglobulinemia and light chain amyloidosis. His work emphasizes prognostic biomarkers, the molecular underpinnings of disease progression and novel therapeutic strategies. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and scientific abstracts.
He has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, the Young Investigator Award from the International Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Foundation, and several meritorious abstract awards from national and international hematology and oncology societies. His research has been supported by competitive grants from the International Myeloma Society and the International Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Foundation.
Dr. Zanwar is an active member of leading professional societies, including the American Society of Hematology and the International Myeloma Society, and remains dedicated to advancing patient care and scientific discovery in plasma cell disorders
