Research

Health care providers and scientists involved in otolaryngology (head and neck) research at Mayo Clinic are studying new ways to care for people with mouth and throat cancers, including research into making head and neck surgery techniques better.

This cancer research is done in the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is funded by the National Cancer Institute and is designated as a comprehensive cancer center, which rewards an institution's scientific excellence and resources in many different areas focused on preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
