Research

Mayo researchers are studying ways to make spinal fusion procedures safer and more effective. These studies include comparisons of different types of hardware and bonding materials used to connect the vertebrae together during spinal fusion surgeries. Other studies focus on the effect of diabetes or smoking on success rates.
