Research

Mayo Clinic surgeons continue to study robotic surgery and traditional laparoscopic surgery. Both options are available for a hysterectomy when a minimally invasive surgical approach is needed. The Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is studying hysterectomy treatment options for gynecologic cancers. Mayo Clinic researchers, doctors and surgeons trained in hysterectomies are working to improve care for people with gynecologic cancers.
