Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Blurred vision
  2. confusion
  3. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
  4. fever
  5. sweating
  6. unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

  1. Blood in stool
  2. blood in urine
  3. nose bleeds
  4. red or purple spots on skin
  5. unusual bruising
  6. vomiting blood

Rare

  1. Abdominal pain or swelling
  2. back pain or backaches
  3. black, tarry stools
  4. burning, itching, redness, or soreness of skin
  5. cloudy urine
  6. cold clammy skin
  7. constipation
  8. cough
  9. coughing up blood
  10. difficulty with breathing
  11. difficulty with swallowing
  12. dizziness
  13. fast heartbeat
  14. fast, weak pulse
  15. feeling of warmth
  16. greatly decreased frequency of urination or amount of urine
  17. headaches
  18. hives or welts
  19. large, hive-like swelling on face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  20. lightheadedness
  21. muscle or bone pain
  22. nausea and vomiting
  23. noisy breathing
  24. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  25. redness of the face, neck, arms, and occasionally, upper chest
  26. shortness of breath
  27. skin rash
  28. tightness in chest
  29. wheezing

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
