Raquel T. Yokoda, M.D.

Raquel Teixeira Yokoda, M.D., is a physician in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology and has additional expertise in gastrointestinal, liver, and eye pathology.

Dr. Yokoda completed her pathology residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Neuropathology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to residency, she completed a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at Mayo Clinic.

Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis of diseases involving the brain, gastrointestinal tract, and liver, as well as ocular pathology. She is dedicated to providing accurate and timely diagnostic care that supports patients and their clinical teams. As a physician-scientist, her research centers on epithelial–mesenchymal transition modulation in intracranial tumors and metastatic disease, with an emphasis on biomarker discovery and therapeutic development.
