Biographical summary
Stephanie Ferrell, M.D., Pharm.D., is a Transplant Pulmonologist in the Division of Lung Failure and Transplantation, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Her clinical expertise and research focuses on lung transplant medicine, advanced lung disease, ECMO, and ICU-based pharmacology. Dr. Ferrell is a dual trained MD-PharmD with an extensive background in transplant-related immunosuppression, antifungal and antimicrobial stewardship, and peri-transplant critical care.
She has experience in multidisciplinary transplant management, complex ventilatory failure, pulmonary vascular disease, and post-transplant complications. Dr. Ferrell completed her training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and a fellowship in Lung Transplantation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Ferrell is currently a member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplant, American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Medical Association.
