Biographical summary
Dr. Garima Dahiya is a dual-board certified, full-time dedicated Cardiac Intensivist, with a joint appointment in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She specializes in the care of critically ill patients being treated for cardiovascular diseases, including cardiac arrest, severe cardiac dysfunction, multifactorial shock and organ failure. Additionally, she cares for patients during their transition from intensive care to outpatient cardiac care. Her research focuses on the intersection of cardiovascular disease and critical care, specifically in resuscitation science, weaning of mechanical circulatory support use in cardiogenic shock, post-intensive care progression and exploration of gender-based disparities in cardiac care.
