  • فهم كيفية تكوّن سرطان الثدي. يعمل الباحثون على فهم الظروف التي يبدأ فيها سرطان الثدي في التكوّن والتطور. وقد ركزت الأبحاث على الكائنات الحية الدقيقة الفريدة الموجودة داخل الثدي، والتي تُعرف أحيانًا بالحَيُّوم الدقيق للثدي. وقد تسفر هذه الدراسات عن الوصول إلى بيانات يمكن أن تساعد على الوقاية من سرطان الثدي أو التوصّل إلى أكثر العلاجات فاعلية.
