Biographical summary
Josh Wiedermann, M.D., is a pediatric otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon who specializes in complex airway disease, head and neck tumors and congenital malformations.
His primary areas of focus are:
- Endoscopic and open airway surgery for diseases such as subglottic/tracheal stenosis, vocal cord paralysis or vascular compression
- Head and neck tumors (benign and malignant)
- Lymphovascular malformations
- Sinus disease and sinonasal tumors
- Surgery for complex sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing
In addition to his clinical and surgical activities, Dr. Wiedermann is active in research and education, providing mentorship to learners of all levels. He authors expert content in otolaryngology.
Dr. Wiedermann lived in Ethiopia following his training helping to establish an academic otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency program. He will continue his international work and teaching while also researching methods to improve global surgery and global surgical outcomes.
