Biographical summary
Matthew M. Smith, M.D., M.A., is a vascular neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of complex cerebrovascular disease and acute stroke care. He has particular clinical interests in both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, as well as vascular lesions in the brain and spine.
Dr. Smith obtained his specialty training in Neurology and his subspecialty training in Vascular Neurology at the University of Chicago.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Smith is involved in advancing the field of Neurology through clinical research. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented research at national meetings.
