Amogh Havanur, M.D., M.P.H.

Amogh Havanur, M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in inpatient hospital medicine. He serves as a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Hospital Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona.

Dr. Havanur earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he also completed a concurrent Master of Public Health. His public health capstone project, for which he received a Population Health Scholar Award, examined the economic burden on caregivers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona, where he was awarded the Mayo International Health Program Scholarship to train at Patan Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal.

In clinical practice, Dr. Havanur focuses on the care of hospitalized patients with a broad range of acute medical conditions. His research interests include point-of-care ultrasound, public and global health, high-value care, graduate medical education, and narrative medicine.
