Research

Mayo Clinic doctors and scientists are dedicated to improving breast surgery and reconstruction options for people with breast cancer. Their research is conducted as part of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, Mayo Clinic is one of the few medical centers in the U.S. recognized as a Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) for breast cancer research, funded by the National Cancer Institute.
